Recently, Taiwan Education Center (TEC) Indonesia – Yogyakarta just held an online seminar in collaboration with Universitas Muhammadiyah Semarang (UNIMUS) discussing scholarship, internship, and study in Taiwan from A to Z. This agenda was held on Tuesday (2/21/2023) virtually. Before the seminar started, the Director of the International Office, Muhammad Yusuf, PhD, gave a brief remark upon this agenda.
On this occasion, Bima Aoron as the speaker of TEC Yogyakarta, introduced what TEC is and shared important information regarding study in Taiwan including the scholarships which are facilitated by the Taiwan government to the students in Indonesia. Not only scholarships, Bima also explained regarding Taiwan Experience Education Program or TEEP to the participants who would like to go to Taiwan to do research and internship. Since the participants were also including the lecturers, thus this program was gaining a lot of attention from them.
In the Question-and-Answer session, some participants threw a few questions to the speaker. Erna, a student who is currently preparing for MoE Taiwan Scholarship 2023, asked regarding the complete procedure and how to choose the universities in Taiwan. She then explained about her plan for taking a scholarship from a year ago. She was very motivated for this program and eager to go to Taiwan to continue her study as soon as possible. Knowing this participant who was very eager to study in Taiwan, Bima motivated the participants to explore their education and continue their study abroad, especially in Taiwan.
This agenda went well and was full of enthusiasm by the participants. Even though the agenda was held online, the discussion about the background of Taiwan, education system, requirements of scholarship and many others can be delivered effectively by the speaker. In addition, TEC Yogyakarta also promoted the upcoming agenda, Taiwan Higher Education Fair 2023 which will be held soon. Hopefully, this agenda could enlighten the participants, especially those who have interest in studying in Taiwan.
