To provide up to date information of study, obtain a scholarship, and conduct research and internship in Taiwan to the civitas academia of Universitas Muhammadiyah Tasikmalaya (UMTAS), the team of Taiwan Education Center (TEC) Indonesia – Yogyakarta held a virtual seminar “Study, Scholarship and Internship in Taiwan for 2023” collaborated with UMTAS on Tuesday (2/21/2023).

The Rector of UMTAS, Dr. Ahmad Qonit AD, MA, delivered an opening remark before the seminar started. He mentioned that some lecturers of UMTAS are currently taking their doctoral degree in some universities in Taiwan. There was also a lecturer who conducted an internship in Taiwan for one year.

Bima Aoron, as the speaker of TEC Yogyakarta, provided a presentation regarding the topic and he also briefly introduced TEC before starting the presentation. The scholarships which are facilitated by the Taiwan government to students in Indonesia, Ministry of Education (MoE) Taiwan Scholarship 2023 and Huayu Enrichment Scholarship (HES) 2023, were mentioned and explained comprehensively by Bima.

The Information and procedure of the internship program in Taiwan or Taiwan Experience Education Program (TEEP) was also explained to the participants. Those who would like to go to Taiwan to do research and internship are eligible to take this program, especially the lecturers in UMTAS. 

Throughout the agenda, a lot of participants showed their enthusiasm and actively participated in the Q&A session. At the end of the presentation, TEC Yogyakarta also mentioned and promoted one of the upcoming spectacular agendas, Taiwan Higher Education Fair (THEF) 2023 which will be held soon in Surabaya, Yogyakarta and Jakarta.
