Promoting Taiwan’s Higher Education and Career Opportunity, TEC Yogyakarta Provided a Seminar at Politeknik Kesehatan Yogyakarta

To share the latest information on scholarships and internships from the Ministry of Education (MOE) Taiwan and Taiwan universities, Taiwan Education Center (TEC) Indonesia, Yogyakarta regional office, came to Poltekkes Kemenkes Yogyakarta and held a seminar in front of the students and lecturers on Wednesday (5/29). Poltekkes Kemenkes Yogyakarta or Yogyakarta Health Polytechnic is an institution located in Sleman, Yogyakarta, which provides education for health workers with Diploma III, Applied Bachelor, and Professional degrees, under the auspices of the Health Personnel Education Center, Health Human Resources Development and Empowerment Agency, Ministry of Health of the Republic of Indonesia. The TEC team provides a seminar and helps the participants find the best plan for their education journey.  Before delivering the seminar, Dr. Yuni Kusmiyati, S.STM.PH as the Vice Director I of Poltekkes Kemenkes Yogyakarta, welcomed all the participants and delivered an opening remark.

On this occasion, TEC Yogyakarta introduced its activities and purposes to the participants. TEC Yogyakarta provided a seminar entitled “Study in Taiwan: Planning Your Academic Journey in Taiwan” to share information about studying in Taiwan in detail and promote the developed education system in Taiwan. As the participants were very enthusiastic in gaining the information, Bima, the manager of TEC Yogyakarta, encouraged the students to be more confident in applying for the scholarship and to prepare themselves for the upcoming MOE Taiwan Scholarship in 2025.

During the presentation session, Bima explained a lot of information regarding medicine and public health programs since Poltekkes Kemenkes Yogyakarta Is a health education institution.   Furthermore, the other programs from Taiwan’s MOE explained were the Huayu Enrichment Scholarship (HES) and the Taiwan Experience Education Program (TEEP). Many participants were very excited to obtain the information, and some of them actively participated during the Q&A session.

Not only questions about the scholarship some students were also interested to know more about learning Mandarin directly in Taiwan. Last but not least, the team of TEC Yogyakarta took some pictures with the participants and had an exchange of token appreciation for Poltekkes Kemenkes Yogyakarta.
