Taiwan Education Center (TEC) Indonesia Yogyakarta Regional Office has successfully held a Webinar with one of the best Taiwan universities, National Yang Ming Chiao Tung University (NYCU), entitled “International Program and Scholarship in National Yang Ming Chiao Tung University” via Google Meet on Thursday (15/9/2022).

National Yang Ming Chiao Tung University was founded in 2021 through the merger of two universities: National Yang-Ming University and National Chiao Tung University. Yang Ming, which focused on biomedical research, and Chiao Tung, which focused on electronic communication research, were both top-tier universities in Taiwan. At present, NYCU has 19 colleges and 74 university/college level research centers.

The agenda was opened by Yordan Gunawan as the PIC TEC Yogyakarta. Moreover, Ms. Trudy Wu (officer of Office of International Affairs) accompanied by her colleague, Yu-Hsuan Kao, became the representatives from the university to attend the Webinar regarding the international programs and scholarship in NYCU. As for the presentations were delivered by three PhD Indonesian students from NYCU,  Albert Budi Christian, Ajeng Nova Dumpratiwi and Obaja Triputera Wijaya. 

They explained comprehensively regarding the topic of the international programs and scholarship in NYCU which was very interesting  for the students. Moreover, they showed a great introduction about Taiwan and its culture too.

This Webinar was held to give the participants an introduction and insight about studying in Taiwan especially in NYCU. The participants of this Webinar were from STKIP Muhammadiyah Oku Timur and varied from other universities students and lecturers. This agenda was full of excitement and the participants were very active in taking notes of the presentation and asking many questions to the speakers.
