Taiwan Education Center (TEC) Indonesia Yogyakarta Regional Office held another Webinar in collaboration with Asia University entitled “International Program and Scholarship in Asia University” via Google Meet on Thursday (4/8/2022).

Asia University (AU) is a visionary, pioneering, and fast-growing school and was founded in 2001 with the goal of establishing a remarkable and comprehensive university with international competitiveness. In the past 21 years, AU has demonstrated excellence in academic performance and was ranked the first in many higher education evaluations conducted by the Ministry of Education (MOE).

In this agenda, Prof. Yinghue Chen became the representative from AU to deliver the presentation regarding the international programs and scholarship that AU offers. Moreover, there was also an Indonesian student, Anisah Nur Mufidah, a Master student of Business Administration of AU, who also joined as a speaker and shared about her experience during her study in AU. This Webinar was held to provide information about AU and give the participants an introduction and insight about studying in Taiwan especially in AU.

Prof. Chen explained in detail about the programs in AU and he said that Taiwan is the right destination to continue our studies. This is because Taiwan offers many special scholarships for international students, has good quality academic resources, and is rich in culture. He said that the number of Indonesian students in AU is increasing quite high year after year, especially in the past 2 years.

The second speaker, Anisah, shared about her experience in Taiwan especially during her study in AU. “Taiwan is a very safe country and has a Muslim-friendly environment. I can feel it especially in Asia University.” said Anisah. She also added that being an international student in AU is not difficult to cope with the cultural differences.
