To connect the Indonesian students to Taiwan’s Education, TEC Yogyakarta Had a Meeting and Discussion with the Head Regent of Pinrang, South Sulawesi

On Wednesday (4/26), The Regent of Pinrang Irwan Hamid met and received the visit of the Manager of Taiwan Education Center (TEC) Yogyakarta- Universitas Muhammadiyah Yogyakarta, Mohammad Bima Aoron Hafiz, in his office. In this meeting, H. A. Irwan Hamid said that basically the Pinrang district government really supports every effort to improve the quality of Human Resources through education.

Furthermore, H. A. Irwan Hamid had a big expectation that the Pinrang Regency Government and TEC Yogyakarta could build cooperation primarily related to the student exchange plan between students in Pinrang and Taiwan. The cooperation scheme that is expected by Mr. Hamid such as sending one or two students from high schools or university alumni from Pinrang every year to Taiwan by MoU which could be arranged and discussed by both governments, Taiwan and Pinrang. This exchange plan aims to give international exposure to the students.

Meanwhile, TEC Yogyakarta’s Manager Mohammad Bima Aoron Hafiz revealed that TEC Yogyakarta is currently exploring the collaboration intended by H. A. Irwan Hamid. This is intended as an effort to improve the quality of education and provide opportunities for students, especially in Pinrang, who wish to continue their studies abroad, especially in Taiwan.

During this visit, Bima also explained and introduced Taiwan as one of the destinations for continuing study abroad. He said there were various options of universities and scholarships in Taiwan, starting from bachelor to doctoral degree. Bima hopes that with this collaboration, students in Pinrang will be able to develop their knowledge and resources by continuing their studies in Taiwan, which is currently rarely seen by students.
