The Taiwan Education Center (TEC) Indonesia Yogyakarta Regional Office, in collaboration with the Chinese Learning Center (CLC) of National Pingtung University (NPTU), Taiwan, officially launched the first day of the Online Mandarin Class for Beginners #2 on October 19th 2024. This program, organized by the Education Division of the Taipei Economic and Trade Office (TETO) in Indonesia, aims to foster Mandarin language proficiency and enhance cultural understanding between Indonesia and Taiwan.
With a total of 100 enthusiastic participants divided into two classes of 50 students each, the program is designed to provide a structured and interactive learning experience. The students come from various backgrounds, united by a common goal: to embark on the journey of learning Mandarin, one of the world’s most widely spoken languages.
The Online Mandarin Class for Beginners #2 is tailored to introduce fundamental Mandarin vocabulary, pronunciation, and sentence structures essential for basic communication. Participants benefit from a curriculum designed and delivered by experienced Mandarin instructors from CLC NPTU, ensuring high-quality language instruction grounded in real-life application.
In each class, students participate in interactive activities, engage in dialogues, and practice with native speakers. The course structure encourages active student engagement, fostering a collaborative and supportive learning environment despite the virtual setting.
The success of this program is made possible through the support and coordination of the Education Division of TETO, the TEC Indonesia Yogyakarta Regional Office, and NPTU’s Chinese Learning Center. These organizations are dedicated to facilitating language and cultural exchange opportunities, providing students in Indonesia with access to Mandarin education that can support future academic and professional goals in Taiwan.
This first day has set a positive tone for the weeks ahead. Students and organizers alike are excited about the journey to Mandarin proficiency, fostering new skills, and building connections that contribute to closer ties between Indonesia and Taiwan.
The TEC Indonesia Yogyakarta Regional Office and NPTU’s CLC are looking forward to a productive and enjoyable program that equips students with valuable language skills and cultural insights.
