On Tuesday (7/18), continuing the schedule of seminar, Taiwan Education Center Indonesia (TEC) Yogyakarta regional office visited Madrasah Aliyah Negeri 2 Yogyakarta (MAN 2) to hold a seminar and provide the information regarding scholarships from the Ministry of Education (MOE) Taiwan as well as Taiwan universities for the students of MAN 2 at the Gymnasium Building of MAN 2. This event was participated by students who are now sitting in the 11th grade and teachers of MAN 2. Bima, the manager of TEC Yogyakarta who also was the speaker of the seminar, opened the presentation by providing a quick quiz followed by a seminar of the MoE Scholarships as well as TEC programs which are available for students.

As the first topic, MoE Scholarships gained a lot of attention by the participants since the programs’ benefits offered are not merely about getting a degree but also getting a wider experience by meeting the international community and connections. Furthermore, Bima explained that by getting a scholarship to Taiwan, the students will have more opportunities in the job-seeking world later. In the Q&A session, many of the participants delivered a question related to the topic. This event hopefully could be a starting point to motivate the participants to study abroad and open their career opportunities.
