Today (11/15), the Taiwan Education Center (TEC) Yogyakarta visited SMK Muhammadiyah Prambanan, a prominent vocational high school in the Prambanan district. The visit aimed to introduce students to the wide range of higher education opportunities in Taiwan, including scholarships and internship programs offered by Taiwan’s Ministry of Education (MOE) and local universities. The presentation was attended by more than 100 enthusiastic students.
The event was warmly welcomed by the school’s principal, Mr. Sigit Rusdiantoro, who expressed his gratitude for the opportunity to provide his students with valuable information about studying in Taiwan. During the presentation, TEC Yogyakarta highlighted various scholarship programs available for Indonesian students, as well as details about Taiwan’s internship initiatives, which offer a unique opportunity to gain international work experience.
Students showed a strong interest in the available scholarships, asking detailed questions about eligibility and the application process. Many were also excited to learn about the internship programs and how they could apply to gain hands-on experience in Taiwan’s innovative industries.
Bima, the manager of TEC Yogyakarta, shared important advice on how to prepare for Taiwan’s government scholarship applications, which are open once a year from February 1 to March 31. He encouraged students to start planning early and ensure they meet all the necessary requirements. “It’s important to be proactive and well-prepared if you want to take advantage of these opportunities,” Bima explained.
The presentation not only captured the attention of students but also sparked enthusiasm among the teachers, who were eager to learn more about how they could support their students in pursuing higher education abroad, particularly in Taiwan.
With the hope of inspiring more students to explore opportunities for higher education overseas, TEC Yogyakarta aims to empower young people to pursue their dreams and build successful careers, particularly through the academic pathways available in Taiwan.
