Taiwan Education Center (TEC) Yogyakarta and Career Development Center (CDC) Universitas Muhammadiyah Yogyakarta (UMY) has successfully held the Study Abroad Session #2 for participants in the Study Abroad Preparation Program for UMY Students and Alumni Cadres on Friday (5/26/2023) at the KH. Ibrahim Building E7, UMY. On this occasion, TEC Yogyakarta was given an opportunity to meet the participants of the Study Abroad Preparation Program for UMY Students and Alumni Cadres (PPKLN MAK UMY) who are now preparing for their next study and internship plan abroad. The event was opened by an opening remark by Puthut Ardianto, S.Pd., M.Pd  as the Head of CDC UMY as well as a lecturer of the English Department in UMY.

Bima as the Manager of TEC Yogyakarta gained the attention of the participants as he was showing an official video of Study in Taiwan by the Ministry of Education (MOE), Taiwan. Then, the sharing session was continued by providing slides of presentation containing the latest information of Taiwan’s MOE Scholarships and Taiwan Experience and Education Program (TEEP). In this session, Bima explained comprehensively regarding the scholarships as provided by the MOE of Taiwan and the universities in Taiwan. 

Bima also provided in depth an explanation about TEEP which caught the attention of most of the participants since half of them are now seeking an internship or research experience abroad. Moreover, in the Q&A session, some of the participants asked regarding the requirements and the fees for the programs explained. Not only asking regarding the programs, but they also asked regarding how to reach TEC since they said that the information provided was very helpful for them to dig more information about studying abroad, especially those who are interested in going to Taiwan for an academic experience.
