On Monday (2/19), Taiwan Education Center (TEC) Indonesia Yogyakarta Regional Office held an online webinar with National Kaohsiung University of Science and Technology (NKUST), entitled “International Program and Scholarship in National Kaohsiung University of Science and Technology”. National Kaohsiung University of Science and Technology (NKUST) was established on February 1, 2018, by the merger of three universities: National Kaohsiung University of Applied Sciences, National Kaohsiung First University of Science and Technology, and National Kaohsiung Marine University, becoming the largest technological university in Taiwan. In this agenda, Prof. Dr. Chia-Chin Wu (Joe Wu) as the Chief of the International Education Division of NKUST and Prof. Dr. Jin-Long Lu (Gino Lu) as the vice Dean of the International Education Division of NKUST became the speakers of this Webinar.

This webinar was held to give the participants an introduction and insight about studying in Taiwan especially in NKUST. In this agenda, Dr. Wu and Dr. Lu comprehensively shared the information about the university during the presentation and Q&A session. Not merely about the programs, Dr. Wu also shared briefly regarding the tuition fee and many others. As for the TEEP, the presentation was delivered by Dr. Lu. He mentioned the programs available to be applied for as well as the name of each project director. 

Furthermore, since the 2024 Taiwan’s Ministry of Education (MOE) Scholarships application is already opened, the opportunity for the students to study in Taiwan especially at NKUST by applying for this scholarship is also available. The participants of this webinar varied from university students to lecturers from all over Indonesia. This agenda was full of excitement and the participants were very active in taking notes of the presentation and asking many questions to the speakers.
