TEC Yogyakarta and Taiwan Showcase Culture and Education at ICCF 2025

Universitas Muhammadiyah Yogyakarta (UMY) hosted the 10th International Culture and Culinary Festival (ICCF) on Tuesday, April 29, 2025, at the UMY Sportorium. This annual event brought together international students from across Yogyakarta, offering a space to share different cultures, traditions, and foods. With over 31 countries represented, the festival attracted hundreds of visitors, reflecting UMY’s diverse and inclusive spirit.

This year’s ICCF also marked UMY’s 44th anniversary and featured around 100 participants from countries like Taiwan, Japan, Egypt, the Netherlands, Poland, and South Korea. The event highlighted UMY’s commitment to strengthening global connections and creating an international campus environment.

A key highlight was the collaboration between the Taiwan Education Center (TEC) Yogyakarta and the Taiwan booth. Together, they shared information about Taiwan’s education system, scholarships, and programs. The booth also offered Taiwanese winter melon oolong tea, sparking conversations about study opportunities, such as online Mandarin courses and teacher training programs.

Despite lasting only one day, ICCF 2025 had a lasting impact, reinforcing UMY’s role in promoting global friendships, cultural exchange, and international collaboration. The event continues to solidify UMY’s position as a vibrant, globally connected campus.
