On Friday (3/22), Madrasah Mu’allimin Muhammadiyah Yogyakarta and Madrasah Mu’allimaat Muhammadiyah Yogyakarta signed an MoU with Taipei Municipal Chengyuan High School on educational cooperation. The MoU was signed at Taipei Municipal Chengyuan High School in Taipei. The MoU signing began with an opening ceremony inviting the director of the Education Division of TETO Indonesia, all of the principals from these three schools, and the teachers, staff, and some students.
The opening ceremony was attended virtually by the director of the Education Division, TETO Indonesia, Ms. Grace Ou, the Manager of TEC Yogyakarta Bima Aoron and Assistant Manager Dinda, and directly by the principal of Taipei Municipal Chengyuan High School, Dr. Liu Wei-Jui, the principal of Mu’allimin, Mr. Aly Aulia, the principal of Mu’allimaat, Ms. Unik Rasyidah as well as the teachers and staff from these three schools. Before entering the MoU signing session, Dnda, the officer of TEC Yogyakarta, became the moderator and led the opening ceremony. The ceremony began with a virtual opening speech by Ms. Grace Ou.
“I believe this partnership will lead to many new joint activities that give many benefits and add academic value for both schools in the years ahead. I would like to take this opportunity to assure you that the Education Division of TETO in Indonesia and TEC Indonesia, through our efforts and commitment, will do our best to assist in successfully implementing this MoU,” said Ms. Grace Ou.
Furthermore, the next speeches were delivered by all three principals, one by one, and then continued to the main session, which is the MoU signing. This MoU commits these schools to work together more closely towards one common goal, the pursuit of the internationalization of education. Each side will pursue many benefits, such as promoting educational and academic exchange between schools, promoting study opportunities, and many others.
In closing, the MoU signing ended with token appreciation, and the principals and the guests who joined the agenda took some photos together. The Education Division of TETO Indonesia and TEC Yogyakarta congratulated the schools on this MoU signing and hope the collaborations between Taiwan and Indonesia, especially in the education sector, will last in the years ahead.
