On Thursday (12/14), Taiwan Education Center (TEC) Yogyakarta visited SMA Kolombo Sleman, one of the highschools which is located in Sleman, Special Region of Yogyakarta. This visit is aimed to promote and inform people about education and the opportunities of getting a degree from a Taiwan university. TEC Yogyakarta was represented by two officers, Bima and Dinda who provided a presentation to the teachers and students of this school. They were welcomed by the Vice Principal, Ms. Sri Rejeki Andadari, M.Pd.

The students were enthusiastic during the slide presentation, and they paid attention to the presentation. A lot of them threw questions about education in Taiwan and the process of applying for the universities there. They also asked about the scholarship that the government provided for the students.

Furthermore, Bima gave a suggestion and advice for students to get the scholarship and to prepare all the necessary requirements for the upcoming Taiwan’s government scholarship in 2024 Since Taiwan’s government scholarships are only open once every year, Bima suggested the students be more attentive to the requirements and procedures. Not only students, the teachers were also very enthusiastic to know more about these programs.

Hopefully after this presentation students can obtain useful information regarding Taiwan and its education system. We expect that the students could be more motivated to continue their study overseas, especially in Taiwan.
