Taiwan Education Center (TEC) Indonesia-Yogyakarta Regional Office has successfully held its first Taiwan Universities Webinar Series in 2024 by holding a Webinar with the No.1 university in Taiwan, National Taiwan University (NTU). This Webinar was entitled “International Program and Scholarship in National Taiwan University” On Monday (2/5).
Founded in 1928, NTU is the most prestigious university in Taiwan. According to QS Ranking, NTU is ranked number 69 among all the universities in the world. Providing many opportunities to realize and enhance the potential of each student, students at NTU become a part of the nation’s richest center of learning and receive a diverse and high-quality education. In this opportunity, NTU delegates six representatives as follows:
- Kuo-Hsin YANG, Associate Vice President for International Affairs/Associate Dean of International College
- Melissa KUO, Manager, Global Student Affairs, Office of International Affairs
- Michelle HO, Manager, Global Student Affairs, Office of International Affairs
- Yvonne TSIA, Program Manager, International College
- Javier Tanoto, Undergraduate Program in Chemical Engineering Year 3
- M. Yusril Hardiansyah B., Master Program in Global Agriculture Technology and Genomic Science (GLOBAL ATGS) Year 3
To share information and answer the questions regarding the international programs for bachelor, master, and doctoral degrees at NTU and the scholarships that NTU offers. During this Webinar, the participants gained a lot of new insights and information about NTU. Not only knowing about the programs and scholarships, but also about the tuition, facilities, and many campus activities provided for the students.
Since NTU is ranked as the best university in Taiwan, and even known as a top-notch university globally, many participants were very excited to know more in detail about this university. They were asking many questions to the speaker and to TEC because they also would like to know about the procedure of applying for the MOE Taiwan Scholarship as well as preparing for the upcoming scholarships intake.
The participants of this Webinar varied from high school students, university students to lecturers from all over Indonesia. This agenda was full of excitement and the participants were very active in taking notes of the presentation and asking many questions to the speakers. This webinar hopefully could encourage the participants which varied from high school students, bachelor’s, students, master’s students, and lecturers, to come to Taiwan and continue study there especially at NTU.
