Sharing the Information of International Programs and Scholarships for International Students, TEC Yogyakarta Having a Collaborative Seminar with National Chengchi University (NCCU)

Taiwan Education Center (TEC) Indonesia Yogyakarta Regional Office successfully held another Webinar with Taiwan University, National Chengchi University (NCCU), entitled “International Program and Scholarship in National Chengchi University (NCCU) virtually on Thursday (3/21). Established in 1927 and located in Taipei City, Taiwan, NCCU is one of the top-notch universities in Taiwan.

In this agenda, TEC Yogyakarta invited Lexie Yap from Global Recruitment, Office of International Affairs, NCCU, accompanied by the NCCU alumni, Kiki Chen to be the representatives from NCCU to deliver the presentation regarding the international programs and scholarships in NCCU for 2024/2025 and the experience of studying in NCCU.

During the presentation session, Ms. Yap informed the participants about the majors available at NCCU, such as Liberal Arts, Education, Foreign Languages, Law, Social Sciences, International Affairs, Communication, Innovation, Commerce, Global Banking and Finance, and Science. NCCU offers several English-taught programs for International students, BA in Global Studies, IMBA for a master’s Program, IMPIS for a master’s Program, and many other exciting programs.

Additionally, Kiki, an Indonesian who is also NCCU alumni and currently working as a staff in NCCU, shared his experience during his study at NCCU and his journey in Taiwan. During the Q and A session, he and Ms. Yap received many questions from the participants. Most of them are Taiwan’s Ministry of Education (MOE) Scholarship applicants who already applied to NCCU and are still waiting for the announcement of admission from the campus of NCCU.

In closing, Ms. Yap reminded the participants that NCCU is one of the most respected universities in Taiwan, and the number of international students who apply there is constantly increasing. Therefore, she encouraged the participants to come to Taiwan and join the global student community at NCCU. This webinar was held to give the participants an introduction and insight into studying in Taiwan, especially at NCCU.
