Taiwan Education Center (TEC) Indonesia – Universitas Muhammadiyah Yogyakarta (UMY) invited a member of Muhammadiyah Association of Taiwan Alumni, Taufik Kurrahman, MBA., to hold a sharing session entitled “Study in Taiwan: Your Gate to Reach Success” on Monday (20/6/2022) via Google Meet. Taufik was graduated from International Master of Business Administration at Asia University, Taiwan. In this agenda, TEC UMY invited all Indonesia Students and Lecturers to join. One of Muhammadiyah University, Universitas Muhammadiyah Madiun (UMMAD) also join this sharing session. The rector of UMMAD, Mujahidin, S.Sos., S.Pd.I., M.Si., M.KPd., MCE also joined this agenda and delivered a brief opening remark before the presentation began.

This agenda was aimed to give the participants an insight of how studying in Taiwan could give us many benefits and it is not necessary to be afraid of living abroad. Taufik delivered his presentation and discussed with the moderator and participants afterwards. During his presentation, Taufik explained the reasons why he chose Taiwan as his study destination. His interest to Taiwan was shown not only because he chose to continue his master’s degree there, but also currently continuing his doctoral degree in Taiwan.

The sharing session was opened for public, and the participants varied from students to lecturers. The number of participants reached 101 participants. This agenda was full of excitement and the participants were very active in the discussion by throwing a lot of questions to the speaker. Hopefully, this Online Seminar could brighten the insights of the participants towards Taiwan and why we should consider study there.
