Following the series of events of Muhammadiyah 42nd anniversary, Universitas Muhammadiyah Yogyakarta (UMY) has successfully held the 8th International Cultural and Culinary Festival (ICCF) 2023 at the Sportorium building of UMY on Friday (03/17). ICCF is an annual event by UMY which invites representatives from various countries in the world to introduce and present their culture and culinary to the invited guests and visitors.

The theme of this year’s ICCF is “Land of Unity, Home of Diversity” which implies that UMY is open and accepts every culture around the world. At this event, Taiwan is also represented by Taiwan Education Center (TEC) Yogyakarta as the official representative of the Education Division of Taipei Economic and Trade Office (TETO) in Jakarta, Indonesia. TEC Yogyakarta was invited to share the information of Taiwan and its education system and programs by meeting the visitors of ICCF directly at the booth of TEC. 

Even though TEC did not serve any culinary during this event, the visitors who were mostly students of UMY, still coming to the booth and asking the staff of TEC a lot of information regarding the study programs offered by Ministry of Education (MoE) Taiwan, Taiwan universities, and the programs which will be held by TEC itself such as online Mandarin class, online Mandarin teacher training, and others.
