On Friday (7/12), Taiwan Education Center Indonesia (TEC) Yogyakarta regional office went to Universitas Cendekia Mitra Indonesia (UNICIMI) to hold a seminar and provide information regarding scholarships from the Ministry of Education (MOE) Taiwan as well as Taiwan universities and the latest info of Taiwan Experience and Education Program (TEEP)–an internship and research program provided by MOE Taiwan–for the students and lecturers of UNICIMI.
At the venue, TEC Yogyakarta was welcomed by the vice-rector of UNICIMI, Ms. Lucia Iswandari, and UNICIMI lecturers. Bima, the manager of TEC Yogyakarta, who also was the speaker of the seminar, opened the presentation by briefly introducing Taiwan and then continued with a seminar on the MOE programs and Scholarships and the information on the TEEP.
As the first topic, MOE Scholarships gained much attention from the participants since the programs’ benefits are not merely about getting a degree but also a more comprehensive experience by meeting the international community and connections. Furthermore, Bima explained that by getting a scholarship to Taiwan, the students will have more opportunities in the job-seeking world. In the Q&A session, many participants delivered a question related to the topic. This event could hopefully be a starting point for motivating the participants to study abroad and maximize their career opportunities.
