On Saturday (11/11), Taiwan Education Center Indonesia (TEC) Yogyakarta regional office went to Universitas ‘Aisyiyah Yogyakarta (UNISA) to hold a seminar and provide the information regarding scholarships from the Ministry of Education (MOE) Taiwan as well as Taiwan universities and the latest info of Taiwan Experience and Education Program (TEEP)–an internship and research program provided by MOE Taiwan–for the students and lecturers of UNISA.
At the venue, TEC Yogyakarta was welcomed by the vice rector of academic and cooperation Taufiqur Rahman, SIP., MA., Ph.D and the head of the office of International Affairs of UNISA Cesa Septiana Pratiwi, M.Mid., Ph.D along with the Deans, and lecturers of UNISA. Bima, the manager of TEC Yogyakarta who also was the speaker of the seminar, opened the presentation by providing a brief introduction of Taiwan and then continued by a seminar of the MOE Scholarships 2024 and the information of the TEEP.
As the first topic, MOE Scholarships gained a lot of attention by the participants since the programs’ benefits offered are not merely about getting a degree but also getting a wider experience by meeting the international community and connections. Furthermore, Bima explained that by getting a scholarship to Taiwan, the students will have more opportunities in the job-seeking world. In the Q&A session, many of the participants delivered a question related to the topic. This event hopefully could be a starting point to motivate the participants to study abroad and maximise their career opportunities.
