On Tuesday (1/23), Taiwan Education Center (TEC) Yogyakarta visited SMA Muhammadiyah 1 Bantul, one of the highschools under Muhammadiyah which is located in Bantul regency in the Special Region of Yogyakarta. This visit is aimed to promote and inform people about education in Taiwan and during this agenda TEC Yogyakarta was providing a presentation to the teachers and students of this school.

The students were enthusiastic during the slide presentation and they paid attention to the presentation. The material given by TEC was not merely about scholarships by the Taiwan’s Ministry of Education (MoE) such as 2024 MoE Scholarship and Huayu Enrichment Scholarship (HES) but also regarding Taiwan universities admission and the process of applying to the universities there.

Furthermore, since the 2024 Taiwan’s MoE scholarship will open on February 1-March 31, 2024, TEC Yogyakarta gave a suggestion and advice for students to get the scholarship and to prepare all the necessary requirements for this upcoming Taiwan’s government scholarship. Not only students, the teachers were also very enthusiastic to know more about these programs.

Hopefully after this presentation students can obtain useful information regarding Taiwan and its education system. We expect that the students could be more motivated to continue their study overseas, especially in Taiwan.
