To provide the latest information on scholarships and internships offered by the Ministry of Education (MOE) Taiwan and Taiwanese universities, the Taiwan Education Center (TEC) Indonesia, Yogyakarta regional office, held a seminar at Institut Teknologi Yogyakarta (ITY) on Wednesday, July 31. The event was attended by both students and lecturers, with TEC Yogyakarta not only presenting information but also assisting participants in planning their educational and career journeys in Taiwan.

The seminar was warmly welcomed by Dr. Ir. Triyono, M.Sc., Vice Rector III of ITY, who delivered the opening remarks. The event aimed to introduce TEC Yogyakarta’s activities and objectives to the attendees.

The seminar, titled “Study in Taiwan: Planning Your Academic Journey in Taiwan,” provided a comprehensive overview of studying in Taiwan and highlighted the advanced education system there. Additionally, the seminar covered programs offered by Taiwan’s MOE, including the Huayu Enrichment Scholarship (HES) and the Taiwan Experience Education Program (TEEP). Participants showed great enthusiasm and actively engaged during the Q&A session, with some expressing interest in learning Mandarin directly in Taiwan.

The TEC Yogyakarta team also took the opportunity to take pictures with the participants and exchanged tokens of appreciation with ITY. Encouraged by the participants’ eagerness, Bima, the manager of TEC Yogyakarta, urged the students to be confident in applying for the MOE Taiwan Scholarship, HES Scholarship, and TEEP for 2025, and to prepare thoroughly for these opportunities.
