On Monday, July 29, Taiwan’s Ministry of Education (MOE), the Taipei Economic and Trade Office (TETO) Indonesia, and the Taiwan Education Center (TEC) Indonesia hosted the Online Orientation Class for the 2024 MOE Taiwan Scholarship and Huayu Enrichment Scholarship (HES) Awardees. The virtual event brought together TETO Indonesia, TEC Indonesia, the 2023 MOE Taiwan Scholarship and HES Awardees, and the new 2024 awardees.

The orientation aimed to provide essential information regarding regulations and guidelines for the awardees before their departure to Taiwan, their arrival in Taiwan, and their studies while there. Ms. Grace Ou, Director of the Education Division at TETO Indonesia, delivered the opening remarks, congratulating all the awardees on their achievements.

The TEC Indonesia team, from both the Jakarta and Yogyakarta offices, presented on various aspects of studying in Taiwan and the related regulations. They were followed by 2023 MOE Taiwan Scholarship and HES Awardees, Faradesiva Angger and Jessinda Amadea, who shared their experiences, study tips, and survival strategies for living in Taiwan.

The session concluded with a Q&A segment where the awardees had the opportunity to ask questions and receive answers from both TEC Indonesia and the guest speakers.

The orientation was designed to support the awardees as they prepare for their studies at various universities in Taiwan. TETO Indonesia and TEC Indonesia hope that the information provided will assist the awardees in their transition and preparation for their upcoming academic journey in Taiwan.
