On February 26, the Taiwan Education Center (TEC) Indonesia, Yogyakarta Regional Office, visited SMA Negeri 1 “Teladan” Yogyakarta to strengthen academic connections and provide valuable information about higher education opportunities in Taiwan.

The TEC team was warmly welcomed by the teachers and students of SMA Negeri 1 “Teladan,” who were eager to learn more about studying abroad. The seminar, aimed at grade 10 and 11 students, focused on “2025 Study in Taiwan: Scholarships, Internships, and Online Exchange Programs,” sparking strong interest among the students.

Throughout the seminar, students were introduced to various academic opportunities in Taiwan, including scholarships offered by the Taiwanese government and universities, the Taiwan Experience Education Program (TEEP), and the Mandarin Summer Camp 2025. A key highlight was the success of the 2024 online exchange program, which allowed students from both Indonesia and Taiwan to interact virtually. Looking ahead, the TEC team expressed hopes of continuing this initiative in 2025, potentially expanding it to include an offline exchange with Taiwanese high schools.

Bima, the TEC Yogyakarta manager, delivered an engaging presentation on scholarship options, the application process, and the many benefits of studying in Taiwan. He also discussed the success of the online exchange program and the potential for future collaborations, encouraging students to consider participating. The session generated an engaging discussion, with students asking insightful questions about the exchange program, scholarships, and life as an international student in Taiwan.
