To give deeper information about getting a higher education in Taiwan, Taiwan Education Center (TEC) Indonesia – Yogyakarta held another offline seminar on Wednesday (1/11) in front of the students and teachers of SMA Muhammadiyah 2 Yogyakarta entitled “Study in Taiwan and Obtain Scholarship”. 

This seminar was aimed to introduce as well as provide information regarding Study in Taiwan and all the scholarships offered by the Taiwan’s Ministry of Education and the universities in Taiwan. The participating students on this occasion were varied from 10th until 12th grade. 

In this seminar, TEC Yogyakarta was welcomed by the Vice Principal, Ms. Fatma Taufiyanti, S.Si., M.Psi. The information which was delivered by TEC was not merely about scholarships, but also about the information of student exchange programs between Taiwan students and Indonesian students. This program allows the students to gain study experience as well as cultural experience in Taiwan. This program was gaining a lot of attention, especially by the teachers and students.

Lintang, a student from 12th grade, asked regarding the work opportunities for the alumni of Taiwan universities in Indonesia. “The chance of getting a job after graduating from Taiwan is very good and there are plenty of jobs waiting for you if you are prepared yourself well after getting a degree from Taiwan university,” said Bima, the speaker of the agenda.

Moreover, the students especially from the 11th and 12th grade were interested to know about how to apply for the scholarships in Taiwan. The agenda was closed by giving souvenirs from both TEC and SMA Muhammadiyah 2 Yogyakarta and then taking group photos with all of the participants.
