On Friday, August 2, the Taiwan Education Center (TEC) Indonesia, Yogyakarta regional office, visited Universitas Widya Mataram (UWM) to conduct a seminar. The event aimed to provide information about scholarships from the Ministry of Education (MOE) Taiwan, opportunities at Taiwanese universities, and the Taiwan Experience and Education Program (TEEP)—an internship and research program offered by MOE Taiwan—for UWM students and lecturers.
At the venue, TEC Yogyakarta was warmly welcomed by Prof. Dr. Edy Suandi Hamid, M.Ec., Rector of UWM. Prof. Edy Suandi Hamid delivered the opening speech and shared a brief presentation about his experiences visiting Taiwan. The event was also attended by the Vice Rectors, Deans, and lecturers of UWM.

The seminar highlighted that MOE Scholarships offer more than just academic degrees; they provide valuable opportunities for international experience and networking. Bima emphasized that receiving a scholarship to Taiwan can significantly enhance students’ job prospects.
During the Q&A session, participants actively engaged with the topics discussed, posing questions related to the scholarship programs and other opportunities. The seminar aimed to inspire and motivate attendees to consider studying abroad and to maximize their career opportunities.
