On Wednesday (11/23/2022), Asia University visited UMY to discuss among many things, the implementation of the current 3+1 (bachelor) and 3+1+1 (bachelor & master) dual degree program as well as the collaboration in student mobility for semester exchange and summer programs.
The Rector of UMY, Prof. Dr. Ir. Gunawan Budiyanto, MP., IPM., and Dr. Yinghuei Chen, Dean of Asia University’s International College & College of Humanities & Social Sciences, expressed their excitement to see what activities the two universities could do throughout this discussion. Prof. Chen, moreover, stated that the border is now fully open. Therefore, there is no required quarantine stay for those who are willing to travel to Taiwan.
On this occasion, Taiwan Education Center (TEC) Indonesia, Yogyakarta regional office, represented by Bima Aoron was also present to listen to the discussion from UMY and Asia University. In the evening, the meeting has not ended and TEC was also joining the dinner invitation at Abhayagiri Restaurant.
Asia University and UMY encourage each other to have more collaboration in the future to improve the quality of each other’s education and provide students with a great educational experience.
