TEC Yogyakarta Held a Collaborative Webinar about International Program and Scholarships with National Chung Hsing University (NCHU), Taiwan

Taiwan Education Center (TEC) Indonesia Yogyakarta Regional Office has successfully held a webinar with Taiwan university, National Chung Hsing University (NCHU), entitled “International Program and Scholarship in National Chung Hsing University” virtually on Monday (7/24). NCHU is a top-notch university in Taiwan which has 8 colleges, namely, College of Liberal Arts, Agriculture and Natural Resources, Science, Engineering, Life Science, Veterinary Medicine, Management and Law & Politics. NCHU also offers programs which are taught in English, namely, International Bachelor Program of Agribusiness (IBPA), International Master Program of Agriculture (IMPA), Tricontinental Master Program in Global Studies, International PhD Program in Taiwan, and Transcultural Studies, Molecular and Biological Agricultural Science Program (MBAS). These English-taught programs were delivered and explained by the speakers during the webinar.

In this agenda, Vice President for International Affairs- Dr. Chia-Lin Chang became the representative from NCHU to deliver the opening remarks. As for the presentation of the international program and scholarships, Mr. Chun-chia Lai (Project Assistant, Foreign Student Affairs Division) and Ms. Yu-Hsuan Chang (Project Assistant, Academic Exchange Division) delivered the information to the participants.

Additionally, NCHU also invited two Indonesian students to share their experiences of studying at NCHU, namely, Mr. Aditya Gautama (Department of Horticulture) and Ms. Eiffel Felicia (Department of Management Information Systems). Moreover, the topic regarding the TEEP program was explained by two Indonesian students, Ms. Patricia Lovina and Ms. Angeline Salim who participated in the TEEP project to share their experiences. They both join the program held by Dr. Ping-Shan Lai from Department of Chemistry, NCHU.

This webinar was held to give the participants an introduction and insight about studying in Taiwan especially in NCHU. The participants of this webinar varied from university students to lecturers from all over Indonesia. This agenda was full of excitement and the participants were very active in taking notes of the presentation and asking many questions to the speakers.
